Today’s average pace figures: (MY) 6 Sprints 0.57 – 4 wire to wire; 2 Routes 0.25 – 1 wire to wire, only three winners were passed beyond the quarter pole today.

Race 1 – #1 ISADELLA – second can probably win this off her recent class but none of these seem to excel sprinting. #3 JANNES PAUL – winner $4.00 should be near the lead at the half mile pole along with #2 MONETARY REWARD – third looking for mild upsets. Exacta $4.00, Trifecta $3.45

Race 2 – #4 FEUD- winner $3.00 has done little wrong at today’s distance and appears to have a class advantage today. #3 VERY ATTRACTIVE – second was third behind two next time winners 18Feb, his pressing nature should keep him in the hunt. #6 SPARKLING SOUL – third fits but has not shown much affection for off tracks. Exacta $15.60, Trifecta $13.00

Race 3 – #4 WATOMPKA – fourth, placed third increases her chances returning to a sprint distance while dropping in with bottom maiden claimers. #3 TIZ BLISS – winner $5.20 has exchanged places with the top choice in the past. #2 LITTLE RED CAP – third, placed second is improving while adding Jeff Skerrett to the saddle, can spice things up if put into the race early. Exacta $29.60, Trifecta $16.80

Race 4 – #4 TAPANNA – second shipped from Kentucky to win impressively for nationally known trainer Mike Maker. This son of Tapit has hung around to collect another purse today. #2 BRITE SABBETH – winner $14.00 surprised last time when put into the race early, he seems to relish extended distances. #3 TAKE A WALK – scratch should be expected to add to the fun in the stretch for the sharp Edward Clouston barn. Exacta $32.20

Race 5 – The third race back from vacation could be the key for #5 TANK’S LETTER – fifth who needs to stretch his early speed. #6 TUPELO PLAYBOY – sixth won on the most speed favoring track ever at Mahoning Valley 28Feb, today he steps up for new owners. #7 ANOTHER KITTEN – seventh has been flirting with putting it all together, a little class relief might help the struggle.

Race 6 – #3 VALIENTE CORAZON – fifth returns to sprinting with a closing kick that makes him interesting. #4 KOWBOY TUFF  – winner $3.20 consistently competitive is the obvious horse to beat. #6 OVERSIZED – fourth won his only trip here at today’s distance.

Race 7 – Expect to be surprised in these Ohio allowance races. That said #4 SHARP DANCER – fifth seems well positioned to take advantage of a potential speed duel here. #1 MIGHTY PRIZE – second was out finished by the top choice on 9Feb. #2 PURE GOLD LINER – winner $4.40 has the two fastest clockings from this bunch at six furlongs but must duel #5 BOOT LEGGER for the lead. Exacta $17.60

Race 8 – #1A GLORY GAME – winner $3.40 had compiled a record or 25-10-4-1 before leaving Canada for the “Big Apple.” If the “will to win” hasn’t been run out of him today’s company is in trouble. #2 DURANGO TANGO – second  broke in a tangle in his local debut leaving him with a wide trip on a day favoring front runners. #3 DONATI – third can improve off of his first race back from a four month break. Exacta $18.60, Trifecta $12.75
