Tuesday, March 17 at MVRC

Today’s average winning pace figs: (FT) 6 Sprints 1.10 – 1 wire to wire; 2 Routes 2.30 – 0 wire to wire; Horses generally had to be in the second flight and swing outside entering the stretch to pick up strong wind in their back after leaders fought it in the back stretch.

Race 1 – #1 SMALL TOWN FLIRT seems the most likely. She’s fit, sent out by a solid barn – fourth, left at the gate.

Race 2 – #6 AZUBA has been running pace figs that suit yesterday’s track  and has been on cruise control at MVRC – fourth

Race 3 – #1 CANALASSO scored her last victory here at today’s distance and tag. #5 TEDDY’S TOUCH is a deserving favorite on past performance but failed at this level last time – fourth

Race 4 – #2 TALL HAMMER has done everything but win this winter. This speed filled field gives him a shot if is able to sit closer early – second

Race 5 – My crystal ball sees #5 AVGOLEMONO running down #6 CUTE BOY in the stretch – winner $9.40

Race 6 – #3 SMOKE EM CHARLIE – scratch has an excellent opportunity to wire this group keeping his record perfect here. #4 GUILDED REWARD becomes a live upset possibility if the top choice is forced to up his game early – winner $6.00

Race 7 – #2 ACE RICH could upset here with a heady ride. Tracy Hebert is capable of providing that – sixth

Race 8 – #1 LAUNDRY MAN CAN was wide challenging #2 HAVANA MIKE the last time. Perhaps he gets it done from the rail today – winner $6.40
