Ramblings aren’t always wagers.
Race 1 – # 5 ENCHANTED BOOTS is the only one of these that has tasted the board; this is not an endorsement – 7-4-5*-6 ($23.60)
Race 2 – #1 LOVE IN EGBERT rolled from the rail last time; likes the distance; has beaten better; repeat victories are common in Elliot Sullivan’s stable. Shipper #8 LOST IN SUCCESS adds intrigue; competitive last summer in the east; Burke/Bermudez scored last week with a Turfway trainee. #Jeff Radosevich is 33% when dropping off claims (limited sample); a solid effort by his #3 IM ALL BUSINESS would flatter CINDER TYME in today’s next race – 8*-7-3*-2 ($5.60)
Race 3 – Streaking #3 CINDER TYME bumps into allowance ranks for new triner/owner Larry Reed who spots his stock well. Recency and even effort give #5 HARMONY PLACE hope if the leaders crumble. Team Gorham continues to race in waves of two; Ohio-breds #1 (POE) SOMETHING NICE and #1A (POE/PP8) would surprise but not shock; not showing any experience in open company – 4-1*-6-3 ($20.40)
Race 4 – #10 RICHARD’S TUNE features consistency from the outside post. #4 SHAWKLIT MILKSHAKE does his best running at this distance. #8 TWELVE HUNDRED deserves respect off recent efforts; goes early; cutback helps – 9-10*-2-8 ($41.00)
Race 6 – #5 MONGOLIAN UNION (3rd) was away slowly but came running along the inside last time against TENSAS TOUGH (2nd). Cutting back from a spirited route #8 SPIRIT AMOUR seems plenty fit. #10 TENSAS TOUGH who could finally get the lead he needs at this condition; second last time to well meant Chicago shipper 26Jan; hs burnt plenty of this man’s money – 4-8*-10*-5* ($16.00)
Race 8 – #12 MAKING SURE placed 26Jan at this distance behind WAR DRESS a winner yesterday. #5 CHOSEN TIME went well first time MVR to the dismay of several of these; Hawthorne imports are invigorating the Baird barns; faces extra ground today. #8 CHARLEE B DISCREET takes a steep drop – 5*-7-11-2 ($4.00)
