MVR 3-7-16

Ramblings aren’t always wagers.

Race 1 – #1 NEW YORK GEM ran too erratically  last time to trust as 8/5 ML favorite but the alternatives are slim pickings. (third)

Race 2 – Lightly raced #6 CASS N CAM is as likely as any of these very slow Ohio-bred fillies after showing some spunk early in her season debut. (third)

Race 3 – #2 COSIDESERVEDIT jumps off stable alert after her surprisingly powerful move 17Feb. The race shape favors #3 QUEEN CONCERTO. (third, first)

Race 4 – Hot heat! #6 GONE WILD looks like the only non “needs the lead” with a solid shot. Scoring fourth consecutive win while transferring barns is going to be a tough task. Wide open race. (third)

Race 5 – #5 CALVERT CLIFF is proven here. #7 TWIRLIGHT is the first glimpse of Sam Houston invaders to show up here; Eric Reed knows this terrain well enough to send competitive stock. (last, first)

Race 6 – #3 NISTLE’S VALE stands tall after going nose to nose with sharp GANGSTER MASON last time. Despite respect for City Zip #8 OUR LUCKY ZIP is probably fool’s gold today. (second, first)

Race 7 – The stretch out and a fast track should work for #10 HUMMED. Stalkers #1 REV SEVEN and/or #7 ZETH are worth consideration to juice up the exacta. (ninth, seventh, eighth)

Race 8 – Turfer #4 HOT HEAD is a curious acquisition for the Barnes barn. (winner $8.20)
