Thistledown 8/11

Race 1: Race dynamics may give #5 MISTBINDER an opportunity to steal from veterans struggling to find that second win. New face in town #7 MALIBU WEST leaves the grass looking to find some of the promise that his regal breeding suggests. 7*-2-5*-1 ($6.40)

Race 2: #2 GREELEY AND GOLD has done little wrong since leaving the big leagues; shows the fastest clockings and versatile running style; interesting to find Rex Stokes III on the sideline here. 6-2*-4-3 ($7.80)

Race 3: #1a, pp6 STORMIN LARRY might have discovered a soft spot for his return to Cleveland; looks like lone early speed among the regular routers. 1*-2-6-4 ($2.20)

Race 4: Some action on the board would draw eyes to #8 KATHAR going for connections that can win early. #2, pp1 LANDLINE is probably the fastest but difficult to trust. 2*-1A-3-5 ($5.20)

Race 5: Lots of speed has signed on for the next chapter a continuing rivalry between #3,#4,#6 . . . advantage closer; but no angle to separate CANTICO from EL OF A CAT today. If the price is better, LEI IT ON ME is not without a shot to wire; Walter got cute last time and it backfired; petal to the metal today. 3*-1-4*-6* ($6.60)

Race 6: Both barrels of the Loooch entry are loaded. #2, pp1 FRONTLINER is the stalking alternative. 6-2*-5-7 ($46.60)

Race 7: Walter De La Cruz signs on with #11 SHUTTER SHOCK in a full and very contentious field; late runner from outside post. #11 jockey change to Christian Pilares; 4-2-9-3 ($10.20)

Race 8: #2 MAGNUM MILLS will try to get loose. 8-4-2*-10 ($5.40)
