The solid trip at MNR and nifty bankroll put #2 BETHANY BELLE in the conversation. 8-1*-2*-10** $20.60

Race 7
Recent disappointments may have dirtied up some some trips by #6 (PP5) RUSSIAN RHAPSODY who must be the speed of the speeds today in a race loaded with “needs the lead” types. #1A (PP10) FORESTER’S DIVA is on a two race win streak while being the only one in this bunch to score without leading at every point of call. 4-3-1-5 $27.20

Race 8
Short course specialist #9 CHANNEL BOY packs enough early speed to become the first FL shipper into the winners circle at this meet. #12 BEAR’S CONDUCTOR made a big splash in his MVR debut – much the fastest in here. 11-5-8-2 $55.20

Ramblings rather than selections

Race 1
First time starter #5 O. P. MAGNA FI’D might have been worth a flyer facing in what appears to be a field of lifetime maidens. Magna Graduate has produced some nice Ohio-breds. Now I have no clue. (#5 has been scratched) 2-9-3-7 $29.00

Race 2
#1 EBBY has been successful here. Her early running style and potential rail trip give her a shot if speedy #5 FAST JUSTICE lingers too long before pushing the pace. (Scratch #1) 5**-2-7-4 $2.60

#8  V. I. DANCER is proven at this distance a may be classier than today’s tag indicates. On the improve #1 JUSTICE YALL has a couple sharp efforts over this surface. #2 UNINTIMIDATED will have to “show me” in his new barn following a suspicious drop.5-9-1*-4 $28.20

Race 4
More uninspiring lower level maidens show up in this race; many seem to be searching for their winning distance. #7 (PP8) PERFECT SPOT has shown his best efforts sprinting but won’t be much of a bargain despite his 0 for 23 career record. Morning line favorite and loser of only eleven races #1A (PP7) FOCUS POCUS exits a head scratching five furlong attempt for a hot barn. 4-2-11-1A $9.00

Race 5

Paula Loescher shows up for the first time. 3-4-8-1A $11.00

Race 6 – brain twister . . .
Local legend  #4 SOLAR MAXIMUS faced record breaker MAGIC APPLE last time and may have needed that race but remained game to the end.#2 SILVER CRUSADER takes the logical step forward for the Pappadas with an usual jockey assignment. #6 HIJO DE SHELTOWEE adds to the confusion – Ohio-bred sprinter claimed for $20k last week reappears routing against open company?#3 SILVER TONGUE is capable but seldom struts his best stuff in open company. #5 TORRONTES is one of those suspicious “what hell is he doing here” horses – 97 to 1 at Churchill allows the confidence to pass. 1-6*-3*-5*

Race 7
“Horse for this course” #8 PISCEAN REALIST appears well tuned for this one. #1 BALOTELLI returns to action well spotted with a sharp work out; won two here last season, likes the distance. #9 MOUNT DIABLO also likes it here; might need more ground. Walter walked #4 BELLAMY JONES home after blowing him out for a half . . . he is off his gamer or ready to explode. 8**-4*-3-9* $4.80

Race 8
#11 NIKISPRING is as game as there is on the grounds; this post position is not optimum. #1A (PP12) HERE COMES R J has found new life among the $5k claimers but must also make the interesting journey from the twelve hole. Competitive in Erie this summer #5 (PP4) ETERNAL BULL is an interesting alternative to the favorites who are stuck outside. 11**-8-1A*-1-4 $5.60

Race 5 (OH ACCREDITED STAKE – 2yo fillies)
Already stakes placed #6 TRUE CINDER was flattered this week when MIZZ QUOTED eased to her maiden win after being destroyed by this one last time. Race 6 (OH ACCREDITED STAKE)
